I generally don't watch the World Series, unless the Braves are in it, which is NOT USUALLY. But this year, I got caught up in the excitement of the Cubs and Indians and each team having not being in it in so many years.
So I have pulled for the Cubs and have watched each of the seven games. I get up at 5am, so really, it's amazing that I lasted until midnight last night, watching game 7. It was tied up and the bottom of the 9th - I was so pessimistic that the Cubs were about to lose, so just turned off the TV and went to bed, figuring I'd look at my phone after I got up and see the final score.
I was so delighted that the Cubs won!!! And I couldn't have stayed awake that late - it must have been over around 1am. I recorded everything and can watch the ending tonight. I am so happy for them!

Oh "No!!!" Lynn! Oh dear. I'm so sorry that you missed it! Yeah, they just went ahead and scored to finish it out...and then held at the bottom of the 10th. It was GREAT.
Bill Murray and the team players were outrageous to watch in the club house, after. The announcers/commentators were filled with joy, too. It was a hoot! A real stitch to watch!!! ;-)
I don't think I could have stayed awake - my fitbit tells me I went to sleep at 11pm (I did nod off around then, curled up on the couch, with my afghan.) But I did hit record on the DVR for the few shows that were scheduled to be on after the game (news, TMZ, etc.) and can watch this evening.
I actually watched part of the game last night but had to stop for fear I would jinx the winning Cubbies.
ReplyDeleteGranny Annie, It was so good!!! What a great game!!! The Cubbies have done it! ;-) Well done!!
ReplyDelete...Coming to you live...from Milwaukee!! ;-) :-O ;-}
